Local community

LEAP’s move from Harlesden to Kensal Green has seen us get involved in more community development activities. In 2001, we raised the funds to build a brand new centre for the use of local residents, which is available for use for community groups and meetings. We currently receive no funding for our support to the community, but we maintain the provision because of our commitment to the people of the area in which we are based.

Our community work includes offering local young people a variety of activities to choose from during Hazel Road Community Centre youth nights (such as dance, drama, art and video production classes). We also offer local young people information, advice and guidance, mentoring on an individual basis and help them with CV’s, job search and placement into jobs. Local retirees are also encouraged to make use of our facilities by attending our life skills courses for free.

The Hazel Road Community Centre is comprised of two multipurpose spaces available for hire for a variety of events. Please consider using this facility to support our community work.
