When LEAP started in 1993, we were 100% funded from the public purse. This has changed over the years and we now have to find other ways of generating the majority of the £1 million a year we need to operate.
As unemployment rises and the groups we serve, as in previous recessions, suffer the most. Our services will be more crucial than ever.
LEAP offers comprehensive programmes that not only help unemployed people prepare for work, but helps them for up to 2 years after they have secured employment. This innovative approach ensures optimal results that have been recognised by government studies. We deliver training in schools to help young people succeed at work experience and engage marginalised and disaffected youth.
To ensure we can continue improving the life chances of disadvantaged Londoners, please support LEAP and make a difference!
- £5,000 is the cost of outreach to 75 people
- £10,000 is the cost of advice and guidance for 90 people
- £22,000 will pay for a youth club for young people at risk of offending to be open once a week
- £30,000 will pay for 30 people to complete a 3 week, full-time programme that will significantly enhance their employability
- £30,000 will pay to get 10 jobless people into work and provide them with them with individualised support for two years to help them stay in work
You can donate, contribute to our annual Big Push Fundraising Gala, help us fundraise or volunteer your time and skills.
